On the heels of judging the global 61st Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France as one of two US judges in the Design category, Pum Lefebure, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Design Army, just released her first swimwear collection, Swim At Your Own Risk, in collaboration with Karla Colletto. A capsule collection for Colletto’s Cruise 2015 line and Lefebure’s first venture into fashion design, the five-piece graphic swimsuits and beachwear debuted at the Miami Swim Show on July 19th.

MD Playground damaged by fire

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- Playground equipment in Germantown was damaged by fire on Wednesday evening, Montgomery County Fire officials reported.

The equipment was located near the Sally Ride Elementary School in the 21300 block of Seneca Crossing Drive, Montgomery Fire County Officials said.

This incident is under investigation, we will update this story as more information becomes available.

Md. police: ID sought for disoriented woman

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montomgery County Police Department found a disoriented woman Tuesday evening at a Safeway Store in Germantown and are trying to identify her, authorities said.

The woman was found in the 19700 block of Germantown Road in Germantown, around 8 p.m., police said.

A store employee noticed the woman seemed confused and asked if she needed help, police said.

The woman was taken to the hospital for a check-up, authorities said. She was not able to communicate with authorities.

She is being described as a black woman, 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 95 pounds. She is possibly in her late 80s early 90s, police said.

Officials: Cars damaged in attempted arson in Germantown

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County fire officials say after responding to a reported car fire they found more cars with damage. Officials are now investigating what appears to be an attempted arson.

According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer, at approximately midnight Wednesday, firefighters responded to a reported car fire at Mateny Road and Owl Nest Lane. Crews discovered evidence of attempted arson on several vehicles in the area. Piringer says there was minimal damage to the five to six vehicles and no one was injured.

There is no information on any suspects at this time.

4 injured in accident on I-495 near Bethesda

BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA 9) -- Two Metrobus passengers are claiming injuries after the bus was involved in an accident on the Beltway Friday afternoon.

Authorities say that the Metrobus was involved in an accident with a passenger vehicle near the Old Georgetown Road exit on I-495.

Authorities report that two of the passengers in the involved vehicle are also claiming injuries.

Police search for missing Germantown man

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Montgomery County Police Department is looking for a missing 22-year-old man from Germantown.

Police said Maurice Darnell Munford, 22, of Germantown was last seen in the area of Lakeforest Mall, 701 Russell Avenue Gaithersburg on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Munford is described as a black man, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs around 135 pounds. Police said he has brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a turquoise hat and turquoise sweatshirt.

Family and authorities are concerned for his emotional well-being.
