Fifteen Montgomery County Public School Students Awarded Full Scholarships

Fifteen Montgomery County Public School Students Awarded Full Scholarships

The Posse Foundation has been recruiting and training public high school students living in the U.S. who have exhibited outstanding leadership qualities in school, at home, and within their communities for over 20 years. The Foundation has sent 3,665 scholars to top-tier colleges and universities throughout the country.

“We have a unique opportunity to reward talented student leaders who show a strong record of academic excellence and a desire to succeed in college, but would be overlooked in traditional college selection processes. Universities tend to only see what’s on paper: SAT score, GPA, and personal statement. We provide a more comprehensive college selection process where the student can shine and excel,” explained D.C. Director of Posse, Tamara Wilds Lawson.
