CLARKBURG, Md. (WUSA) -- Police believe they found the body of a missing 11-year-old Germantown boy.
They say they found a body of a young African-American male, believed to be William McQuain.
Police say the remains were discovered in the woods off of Route 121, about a quarter-mile west of Frederick Road and Route 355, in Clarksburg Md.
They believe the body has been there since October 1st.
There's a video the police reviewed from a storage facility showing Curtis Lopez, the boy's estranged step-father, and William together, the day they believe the boy was killed. In the video, young William is wearing the same clothes as the body police found in the woods Tuesday at 9:11 a.m.
The storage facility where the surveillance cameras recorded images of William and his stepfather, suspect Curtis Lopez, is at 13200 Wisteria Drive in Germantown.
Police said the video didn't show any sign of Lopez trying hurt or harm William in any way.
However, police did say Lopez is the prime suspect in William's murder.
Lopez, was arrested near Charlotte, NC, on a Maryland warrant for McQuain's murder.
