GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police have located the missing 16-year-old male from Germantown, Md., who was last seen Thursday morning.

Mervin Rivas-Chang, 16, of Germantown, was last seen around 6:45 a.m. Thursday when he was dropped off at a school in Germantown, according to Montgomery County police.

He is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5'8" tall and weighing 140 pounds, police said. He has brown eyes and short brown hair. Rivas-Chang was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and was carrying a black bag pack. He is often in the area of Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, police said.

His family and police are worried about his physical and emotional well-being. He has not talked to his family since he disappeared.
