Businesses asked to help find children

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are asking businesses to help with clues to find two missing children on Monday.

Montgomery County Police are asking local businesses to check their surveillance footage from their storefronts to see if they spot the silver SUV Catherine Hoggle was driving on September 7, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the Md. tag number 3 A/I 8778.

They're also asking businesses to look for the silver minivan she may have been driving on September 8 in their surveillance footage from 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. That minivan has Md. tag number 48598.

"The vehicles are accounted for. However, business owners are being asked to please take note of the dates and times that are posted on the flyers, and to check any business video surveillance tapes for evidence that these vehicles, Catherine Hoggle, or Sarah and Jacob Hoggle were in the area of their businesses during those dates and times. The public is asked to contact County Police with any information about this case," police said in a news release.

Catherine Hoggle was arrested and charged on September 12, just four days after she and her children, Sarah and Jacob went missing, police said.

Hoggle has been questioned by police and she claims the children are safe, but police have been unable to locate the children to verify her story.

"The children were not with her when she was taken into custody, and she has not divulged their whereabouts," police said in a news release.

If you have any information about the children or if you have video that police are interested in, please call the Montgomery County Police Emergency Line: 911 or the Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency Line: 301-279-8000.
