Mitsubishi Motors and Kids Safety First conducted safety seat checks over the weekend at King Mitsubishi in Gaithersburg, MD.  Families received hands-on instruction by certified child passenger safety technicians from Safe Kids Montgomery County on how to properly select, install and use their child restraint systems.

The Safe Kids Montgomery County received a $2,000 grant from Mitsubishi Motors and Kids Safety First to support the safety checks and a $1,000 donation of safety seats from Dorel Juvenile Group.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children 3 to 14 years old.  National data show that 73 percent of child restraints are critically misused, and last year’s Kids Safety First events saw an 84 percent misuse rate. YOUR families may be at risk!
